Icon Shears commitment to customer service is a fundamental element of our daily activities. This includes our pledge to service, repair, or restore any Icon Shears shear/scissor regardless of age.

The life cycle of an Icon Shear scissor/shear begins with the purchase of raw materials and continues through the life of the shear.  Over 200 steps are involved in making an individual shear by skilled craftsmen who have been hand-selected as a leader in the shear marketplace.   Our shears are forged with precision hands.  Each shear has been rigorously inspected by the most critical of all finishers to insure each step of the process meets our guidelines.  Shears that do not pass inspection are rejected and not sent out to logo with our brand.

Because we have spent so many hours handcrafting your new tool, we ask that you love your shears passionately.  These are the tools that will provide for your family and enjoyment of your creative style for years to come.  Each year, whether your shear needs to be inspected, sharpened, overhauled or even replaced, having regular maintenance is essential to insure longevity. Please allow us to service your shear.

Our service center is located in Nashville, Tennessee and we encourage yearly inspections on each scissor/shear to maintain the long life of your investment.  Our inspection process includes: pinky tang, new finger rings, swivel assembly, bumper, tension screw system, tips, and restoring the cutting edge to factory specifications.


All Icon Shears are covered under our Limited Lifetime Warranty. We will repair of replace any shears that has manufacture defect or malfunction. Normal wear and tear, abused or damaged products will not the covered.  Shipping to Icon Shears is paid for by the customer.


The art of sharpening shears is not an easy task.  Master sharpeners at our factory spend years as an apprentice developing the skillset to become talented enough for a mastership role in our factory.  Here in the States, we see many, many shears that have been damaged by local sharpeners who work part-time or even full-time and do not have the proper training or education to service shears.  While we understand you may need your shears sharpened fast, it is imperative to ask if your sharpener has been trained and approved by Icon Shears.  Call us to verify.  For these reasons, damage to shears from other sharpening services will NOT be covered.   


Icon Shears warranties blade sharpness on ALL shears. If for any reason you feel your shears are NOT sharp to your satisfaction, we will sharpen them for FREE in the FIRST YEAR you own the shears. After 1 YEAR, there will be a sharpening fee. All you have to do is pay for shipping.  You can access our sharpening link here: 


Icon Shears would like for our customers to be completely satisfied with their shear purchase. We offer the following return/refund policy if we cannot resolve your issue:

Returns for online shear purchases area accepted within 7 days of purchase and require a restocking fee of 25%. Customer is responsible for shipping their return and should be postmarked within 7 days of the purchase date. Shears must not be damaged or show signs of excessive wear or abuse. Icon Shears reservice the right to inspect the shear to insure good conditions. Refunds will be issued after receipt of product and inspection occur.

Returns or refunds for purchased made thru ANY discount program, like our school programs, will not be authorized and are considered FINAL SALE.   Any item other than shears/scissors sold by Icon Shears will not be covered under our return policy and are considered FINAL SALE.

Privacy Statement
In the process of placing an order we collect customers’ e-mail addresses and a home address. We do not sell or share that information with anyone.

Typographical Errors
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or product information received from our suppliers or from staff error, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. In order to capture as much detail in our images for your benefit, actual jewelry size may be different than the size they appear in the site due to extreme close ups of the images.
